How to pack efficiently…

Choose the right luggage. Hard-shell luggage generally offers better protection for fragile items, while soft-sided luggage is more flexible and can compress to fit tight size requirements.

Fold the garment to a suitable width for your suitcase or backpack, keeping the layers aligned so the thickness stays as even as possible. Thin items can be rolled inside larger garments if needed.

Roll the garment as tightly as you comfortably can, but avoid overstretching the fabric (especially delicate materials) to prevent damage.

Place the roll in your suitcase/backpack with the loose edge (the “open” end) facing down or tucked into a corner so it’s less likely to unroll; you can also secure it with a band or packing cube if helpful.

How we book our flights…

The journey is the destination.

Over time we have found our own strategy to book flights: the key is flexibility.

Not only in terms of time but also in terms of airports and lay overs or preferably parts of the journey. Staying a few days in a country can convert the stress of a layover to another part of your holiday.

How we search for accommodation…

How we know what to do…

While relaxing a week at a nice hotel and laying on the pool all day might be what you need every once in a while, we found adventures and activities to create the longer lasting beautiful memories.

The best way to get to the most amazing spots, find the best activities and the most memorable events is to ask locals!

Then there are tourist information, travel blogs (such as ours) and commercial platforms.

In terms of commercial platforms we have good experience with the following:
